Scuba diving theory
On Wednesday the 22nd of November, Willy from Ocean Divers came to talk to us before our scuba diving course on November 27th.
Before we began to dive we needed Willy to go through all of the rules and procedures so that we did it as safely as possible. We learnt that he had been scuba diving his whole life and he told us how much he loved it.
We were taught us how to use all of the equipment, we also learnt how to unblock our ears as you go deeper into the water.

Scuba Diving Practical
On Monday, November 27th, my classmates and I travelled to the National Aquatic Centre to complete the practical of our scuba diving course. We were told to get into our gear once we got there and that we had to stay in the groups that we were assigned to be in.
Once we were dressed into our togs we went out to the pool to pick out our wetsuits and flippers. We then had to sit at the edge of the pool and wait to be given goggles and a BCD. We were split into groups of 5 or 6.
We were taught how to use the regulator and oxygen that was given to us. We were then able to go into the water. I really enjoyed this experience and I loved learning this new skill.
